WTAA Sideline Cheer 2020

The WTAA offers both Sideline and Competitive Cheer for boys and girls. Participants may choose to join either Sideline Cheer, Competitive Cheer, or both. See below for details.


 

***COVID-19 UPDATE***

We are currently holding "Open Registrations". This means that we are allowing parents to register their players without having to pay just yet. The plan is to have a Fall Sports Season. If we are not permitted, or we find the state guidelines are not practical for us to have a successful season, then you will not have to worry about refunds. Payment is not required until August 02, 2020. We ask that you be sure to register your players as soon as possible to save their spot. The registration fee will only be placed on your account after you complete your "open registration". Payments must be paid in full prior to equipment handout on August 02, 2020. 

Note: If you have a credit on your account from our  cancelled Spring 2020 season, then you may use it to pay your registration fees for any future WTAA program. This credit expires on December 31, 2021.



  • SIDELINE CHEER 2020
  •  Sideline cheer is available to boys and girls in grades 2-8. Younger athletes with prior dance, gymnastics, or cheer experience are welcome to register as well.
  • Registration Period for Sideline Cheer is 4/2020 until 8/02/2020.
  • Deadline to register is 8/02/2020
  • REGISTRATION COST:
    • Normal Registration is $120.00
    • Multiple Sibling Discount: $25.00 off per sibling. (For all Fall Sports except Flag Football)
    • If your cheerleader participates in our Competitive Cheer program then you will receive a discount of 50% off the Sideline Cheer Registration Fees!

      Simply email our Webmaster at [email protected] during your registration process with your discount request and we will apply it to your account.

    • Cash, credit, or debit cards accepted, NO CHECKS. Cash accepted at In-person registration.

  • UNIFORMS
    •  Sideline Cheer uniform tops and bottoms and Pom Poms are property of the WTAA. We will provide the tops and bottoms and Pom Poms. Parents must NOT wash cheer uniforms at home. Uniforms should be turned into your respective head coaches immediately after the game or at the first practice of the week. We have our uniforms professionally cleaned. Parents are responsible for any damaged uniform replacement cost if their cheerleader's uniform was not cleaned properly.

Additional Equipment required to be purchased by parents:

  • WTAA Sideline Cheerleader Kit Bag: Cost is TBD We are currently working on the exact cost of the kit. Uncertainties with Covid-19 and vendors have made the estimate difficult. We estimate that the girls kits will cost $95.00 - $120.00
    •  The Girls Kit includes the following:
      • Black Briefs
      • Black T-neck Leotard
      • Black Leggings
      • Black Headband
      • Black Gloves
      • White No-Show Socks
      • Pink Knee-High Socks
      • Orange Bow
      • Pink Bow
      • WTAA Sideline Cheer Bag
    • Boys Cheerleader Kits cost TBD We are currently working on the exact cost of the kit. Uncertainties with Covid-19 and vendors have made the estimate difficult. 
    • The boys Kit will include the following:
      • Black Headband
      • Black Gloves
      • Pink Wrist Bands
      • WTAA Sideline Cheer Bag
  • CHASSE "ZONE" Sideline Cheer Sneaker available HERE for $29.99. We recommend that you order 1/2 to 1 size larger as these run small.
  • Official WTAA Sideline Cheer Warm-ups available at Shirt Shack (Donnelly's) 260 Marion Rd D, Wareham, MA. 
    • Youth sizes cost $56.00 for the whole set.
    • Adult sizes cost $64.00 for the whole set.
    • Custom embroidered names cost $5.00
    • If you plan on having your cheerleader return for the fall 2021 season, then we recommend getting the warm-ups a little bigger.
    • If you purchased a sideline warm-up last season, then you're all set for this season and next. :)
  • NOTE: Cheer bag kit and cheer shoes must be purchased and in the cheerleader's possession by 9/07/2020. The Warm-ups must be purchased and in the cheerleader's possession by 10/1/2020. This is done to spread out the cost of participating. If your cheerleader returns for the fall 2021 season, then they not be required to purchase the above additional equipment as long as they fit. If your cheerleader participated in our program last season (2019) then you will still need to purchase the cheer bag kit and cheer shoes listed above.

  • CHEER CAMPS
    • There will be mandatory cheer clinic/camps for all cheer squads sometime during the month of August. Time and location is TBD. We will have more info as we get closer to the start of the season.
    • This is also your cheerleader's preseason team meet & greet.

  • COACHES
    •  The WTAA is always looking for volunteer head coaches, assistant coaches, and mascots. Experience is great, however, it is not required. If you're willing to help our volunteer organization out by coaching a squad or becoming a mascot, then please reach out to our Cheer Coordinator, Damon Solomon at [email protected]

    Please also download our Team Manager App HERE. Login the App using the same email that you used to register your participant. This app will be the main means of conveying information to parents during the season. Game and practice schedules along with team chats will all be made through the app.
